As always, this was done during the course of a three hour session. This time everything was done from complete scratch. In this one, I tried to pay particular attention to modeling the planes so they caught light just as the life model did. Again I experimented with the background, which turned out kind of constructionist.

A three hour pose that attempts an entire figure, including hair. I also attempted the pillowy folds of drapery using a series of simple bent boxes.

This three hour session had me concentrating on the softness of the form. I tend to be over contrasty in my images, and so I wanted to back off from that.

Again with the goofy arm. The problem is that I started out with a base mesh that was designed for a comic character. Ah well. Here I decided to use much simpler backgrounds, using a procedural texture to give it a kind of wash look. It really has nothing to do with the bg that was there. What I really like about this one is the hair: simple, gestural, and effective. And look at that strong red reflected light!
