ASSIGNMENTS


ASSIGNMENT 3
Due July 28, Wednesday
(30 points)

1.) Look at this site:
http://masters-of-photography.com
On the left is a list of photographers. When you click on a name a slide show will appear.
Please look at least 10 of these photographers and pick a photograph that you especially respond to and download it to you ART003 folder. (to download an image from the internet, click on the photo, hold down until you see an option to save to disk, sometimes a right click is needed.)

2.) Part 1
Create a new page called "photos.html" and save it in you "ART003" folder
Be sure this page includes
1.) The photograph you downloaded from the http://masters-of-photography.com.page.
Be sure to include a credit on your page such as:
Photograph by Jane Doe, courtesy of http://www.masters-of-photography.com

Explain briefly, what you liked or responded to in the photograph.

3.) Part 2
Take a SERIES OF PHOTOGRAPHS.
NO OLD PHOTOGRAPHS ARE ALLOWED.
YOUR NEW SERIES OF PHOTOGRAPHS SHOULD BE INSPIRED BY the photographs you saw on
http://masters-of-photography.com
.
Import at least 5 new photographs into your "photos.html" page,
Be sure to check that all the images you import have been re-sized to the correct file size for internet postings,
see Image File Size
If you do a larger series of photographs (more than 5) that is great.

4.) Besure to Email me and your group when you have completed Assignment 3.
Include your URL address in your Email for our ease.
Your email to the group NEEDS TO CONTAIN "ART003 Assignment 3" in the subject title.

5.) Please respond to group members who email you, as soon as you are able, respond with any positive comments you have, or suggestion for them to improve their pages, in a positive supportive way, offer any ideas if you have any. Remember that your communications with group members are worth 10 points in this class. So, be sure to CC a copy of all your emails to group members to me at mcv2@psu.edu if you would like credit for your responses.
