MORE PULP COVERS

More pulp covers from Vintage Paperbacks.
It has over 800 covers, both photographic and my personal favorite, that old dry brush technique. They even break them down by author, artist, genre, and publisher. One of the categories: Hillbilly!

Vera nice.

MEDIAMASTERBATION

Here are some useful links for a new PC. The only reason I'm even considering this in the first place is so that I can play Half-Life 2. Electrolugs will play it, but I want the full experience. I just don't know if I want to drop 700 bucks and fuck around with it. But it would also be nice to be able to watch downloaded videos and slideshows on the TV though.
Some info on using Quicktime with the Meedio media center.

Ugh. I don't want another machine. I really don't.

BRAIN EXLAX

Hack your way out of writer’s block
Merlin Mann of 43 Folders has a great list of ways to break through writer's block.

Write crap - Accept that your first draft will suck, and just go with it. Finish something.

Unplug the router - Metafilter and Boing Boing aren’t helping you right now. Turn off the Interweb and close every application you don’t need. Consider creating a new user account on your computer with none of your familiar apps or configurations.

Write the middle - Stop whining over a perfect lead, and write the next part or the part after that. Write your favorite part. Write the cover letter or email you’ll send when it’s done.

Link.

I need patience, not ideas.

HANG ON
Holy Lord. Do a Google image search on hip huggers or low rise pants. And the argument against it. Really? Against it?

All my friends ride in low riders.

ME MODEL
Jeremy Lipking sent out an email recommending Marie MacGillis as an artist's model. I wonder if she's a friend. Ah well, a possibility.

But at any rate, it pointed me to MuseCube.
I need to do some painting from a longer session.

LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT

There are some aweome T.V. shows. Most specifically, The Daily Show. But I don't want cable for that. So here's some instructions on how to get it, without lining Adelphia's crooked, bastard ass, unwanted spamvertising pockets.

YOU ARE WHAT YOU FEAR

An unprovoked attack on an innocent civilian population.

We are terrorists.
