My main girl Bronwyn was telling me about a cool sci-fi series,"Firefly" and she was quite positive that making a guest appearance was none other than our old pal and neighbor Christina Hendricks And of course she was right. We lost touch, but she was a sweetheart and I'm glad to see she's doing well. I'll have to check out the show, b. said it was great.

Sorry boys, she's taken.

Some nice CG of a super cute, if mildly plastic, digital doll, This Wonderful Life.

And a shell replacement for Cygwin, rxvt. It's an optional package in Cygwin Setup. You can use it with or without X11. You can resize it easily by dragging an edge or corner. Copy and paste is easy with the left and middle mouse buttons, respectively. It will honor settings in your ~/.Xdefaults file, even without X. For details see /usr/doc/Cygwin/rxvt-.README.

I like virtual sugar.

MARY'S A PEACH

She was very pretty: exceedingly pretty. With a dimpled, surprised-looking, capital face; a ripe little mouth, that seemed made to be kissed -- as no doubt it was

- A Christmas Carol, Stave 3: The Second of the Three Spirits

Inspired by my intense love for Mary Peach, I invented a recipe. Except I used mangos.

Merry Peaches
flour, baking soda, or bisquick
brown sugar
hard sauce
mangos or more appropriately, peaches
make a bread out of it, make some thin slices, spread hard sauce and a mango slice between two breads, sprinkle with confectioner's sugar

I took it over to Bibo 's house to a lukewarm reception.

Mary Peach is worth watching "The Projected Man"

INFORMATION WANTS TO BE FREE.

Finally found a good DRM stripper for my iTunes purchases. playfair. UPDATE: Apple issued a Cease and Desist order to Sourceforge, the previous host. playfair can now be found in India. I just know this digital music I download isn't going to last. If I really think about it, what is the likleyhood that I will still have it in 30 years? Pretty much nil. I'll have to worry every single day about backing up my hard drive in case it crashes, which it has once already. That's some stress I just don't need. Some vinyl I've had for 25 years, and some CD's I've had for almost 20, and apart from lugging them around when I move, I don't think about them. So I've taken to burning everything I buy. CD burning, not incinerating. Although I've been considering that too. I've got too much stuff.

I'm disposing of disposable culture.

First entry. Drinking coffee. Windy outside. Should clean house. Files taking longer to copy than expected. Should clean house. Should work on work. Should take girlfriend out. Blogging instead.

I'm addicted to blog.
