here will be no greater
adventure in my life than this
journey I have begun to explore the sources of my
divinity. My art is my kinetic recollections of
that Creative Fire, images of energy and light
representing my own connection with Source at
levels I will never completely understand. The
spark that forged this space has steadily grown
into a flame that threatens to engulf everything
"ordinary" in my life. I feel the
distinctions between the ordinary and sacred
moments melting away.

light on what it is to be jaxun, and then whisk you off
to the pixelschimatisms coming out of my head and
spilling onto your screen.

mago Dei was
brought into being back in October of 1994, when
I first became an artistic contributor to Art on
the Net. This
opportunity arose about the time my creative
fires flared in a way that I couldn't ignore, and
by my own hand dozens of images came to life on
my PC's display. They demanded a place to shine,
and Imago Dei was it. |
Since
that time, my attitude about what I'm
doing here, with this little corner of The Matrix, has
changed considerably. My whole attitude about the medium
itself as been in constant flux, making me call into
question its usefulness or relevance to what I do and who
I am. What will the web be a year from now? What do I
want to do with these newfound artistic tendencies? Where
is all this going?!?
Transitalismania
is an exploration of these questions,
and of the energies that meditations on these questions
have summoned from within my psyche and soul. The
pixelschisms to be found here introduce a cast of
characters in colors and forms which resonate with who I
am, and with who I see myself becoming as a result of
having started down this path.
