The great Debate

The debate rages on regardless of threats of abdication and desertion.

Liss - the list may not serve a multiple function for you, but it seems to do so for the rest of us.
I remember not so long ago a rash of responses to a query about electronic referencing for academic
writing. For me, it answered a number of questions which were VERY relevant to writing about dance
and technology for academia.

This list deals with dance and technology. They are two "modern" practices that have been
intertwined since the dawn of time and have been influenced by politics, economics and all the other
"ics" that involve people since it first began. It will always remain that way. There are few enough
forums for debate and plain conversation as there are for specialised art genres, and this one
should include the opportunity for discussing all aspects of dance and tech as they relate to those
who create the art, or create for it.

This list has provided me with some interesting and valuable information over the year I have
listened to it. In most aspects it takes the place of finding relevent news in magazines (which is
usually out of date by the time we get them). It is a source of relevant, timely, detailed and
usually otherwise unavailable information for me, and probable the many others who may not add their
comments very often, but have an interest in the goings on.

Keep up the good work, all of you. So someone gets a little hot under the collar occasionally. Isn't
emotion what art is about?
