Portfolio: Album Covers & Band Portraits

I spend a lot of time painting bands live as part of the SlowCamera Paparazzi project (though that project has been mostly on hold because of covid). Painting while the music is playing is a special treat for me because I can immerse myself in the emotions of the music as it flows through me and somehow ends up in the painting.

Painting album covers is similar since I surround myself with the album's music as I'm working on them. I've gotten some album cover commissions lately and have been working with the bands and their art directors to create an image that fits the feel and intent of the album. Check out some of the ones I've done lately, and let me know if your band needs some album cover art.
