between Clinton's impeachment and dance and technology? >

Doug was not having a bad day. It seems that perhaps some of you did not really read my comments before replying.. I was commenting on why the arts (and artists) in our country are not valued and pointing out what is, where the money goes when an apathetic population lets it. The Clinton inpeachment, (I said) was the end result of a shift to the right and a dismantling of the culture. Remember that the NEA has been decimated in the last 10 years.

<When you subscribed to this
list, the welcoming message stated that it was a moderated list, didn't
it? I appreciate moderated lists, and this only after I subscribed to
some that were unmoderated.>

When I subscribed to this list, I was not provided with a list of acceptable topics or parameters for discussion. Perhaps Scott Sutherland can post a mission statement for the list so I will know.

I appreciate Jeff and Mark's comments. To limit this discourse to "nuts and bolts" discussion is to ignore the realities of what affects the dance/tech community and to perpetuate an artificially narrow vision of what we do.
