On May 15th, 1998 DIEM will present a Computer Music Marathon between
21:00 and 02:00 at the Concert Hall in Aarhus, Denmark in connection
with the annual Aarhus Night of Culture. Performances include works for
ensemble and computer, interactive dance, performance art, an outdoor
installation and works for computer generated tape. The entire 5-hour
program will be broadcast live on Danish national radio.

Ensemble Figura from Copenhagen will present works for ensemble and
computer featuring Danish composers Anders Broedsgaard, Sunleif
Rasmussen, Jens Hoersving, Niels Rosing-Schow and Hans Peter Stubbe
Teglbjaerg. Dancer Pernille Fynne will perform Wayne Siegel's
interactive work, Movement Study, for solo dancer and computer using the
DIEM Digital Dance Interface. Siegel's outdoor weather-controlled
computer music installation, Music for Wind, will be presented in the
Concert Hall Park. Tony Brooks will perform a new interactive work,
Cyberain, using the Dimension Beam to track body movement as well as
sensors to track his brain waves. Violinist Bodil Roerbech will present
the Danish premiere of Kaija Saariaho's work ' ... de la terre' for
violin and computer. The general public will also be invited to visit
DIEM's computer music production studio where Danish composer Fuzzy will
be frantically attempting to complete a new computer music composition
to be premiered later in the evening!
