ITEM 1 - GEN ART SUNDANCE FESTIVAL PARTY

GEN ART will be sending Film Festival Producer, Jordan Rothstein, and
Executive Director, Ian Gerard, along with others to the 1998 Sundance Film
Festival from January 18 - 25th. They will be hosting a GEN ART Party on
Friday, January 22nd from 9pm - 2am. The party will be at Ranohoa House,
2430 Queen Ester Drive (Deer Valley Condo Area). The event is sponsored by
Bass Ale, Pilsner Urquell & Red Stripe. The GEN ART team can be reached at

the party's guestlist or for info.

ITEM 2 - NEW VISIONS '98

>From February 6-26, 1998 GEN ART will be presenting New Visions '98, it new
annual showcase for emerging visual artists. The exhibition, entitled
"Under Construction" because it focuses on the artist's studio as the site
of development and experimentation, will feature 14 rising artists. The
show will take place at 526 West 26th Street, the West Chelsea Arts
Building, in a 7,000 square foot ground floor space. The exhibition is
curated by Debra Singer, manager of the Whitney Museum of American Art at
Philip Morris, and Anastasia Aukeman, director of the Curt Marcus Gallery.

The exhibition is presented by Altoids, the Original Celebrated Curiously
Strong Peppermints. The exhibition will be open to the public from
Wed-Sunday, from 11am - 6pm. For more information, please call (212) 290-0312.

ITEM 3: SPECIAL BENEFIT SCREENING OF MIRAMAX FILM starring GWYNETH PALTROW

On Thursday, February 12th Miramax Films, Filmmaker Magazine, Soho
Entertainment and GEN ART will present a special advance screening of the
Miramax Film "Sliding Doors" starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Jeanne Tripplehorn,
John Hannah & John Lynch.

The special advance screening will be followed by a post-screening party.
Sliding Doors has received critical advance praise and will be the opening
film of the 1998 Sundance Film Festival. The screening will take place at
the Sony Theaters at 19th Street & Broadway in their main theater. Guests
should enter at the special 19th Street private entrance for the screening.

The screening will be followed by a big post-screening party at "289" at 289
Spring Street. The post-party will be sponsored by Stolichnaya Flavored
Vodkas, Bombay Sapphire Gin, Bass Ale, Pilsner Urquell & Red Stripe Beer.

Tickets to the Screening and After-Party will be $35/person and will benefit
the 1998 GEN ART Film Festival. Tickets can be purchased by an American
Express by calling 212-290-0312 or by sending a check to GEN ART at 145 West
28th Street, Suite 11C, NY, NY 10001. Tickets will be
available on a first-come basis. No tickets will be available at the door.
As all of GEN ART's recent events have sold out, please do not wait till the
last minute to purchase tickets.

ITEM 4 - SPACE AVAILABLE FOR RENT AT GEN ART OFFICES

One of GEN ART's sub-tenants is moving out on February 1st, so GEN ART has
available office space to rent. The office space size is situated in front
of large windows and can accommodate up to about a 3 person work-group.
Shared fax, copier and other services available. To find out more

ITEM 5 - GEN ART LOOKING FOR MORE VOLUNTEERS

In New York, with an art exhibition in February, the Film Festival in late
April and a new fashion program slated for June, we are looking for more
volunteers in film, fashion & the visual arts. We are interested in both
people who have time at night/weekends who otherwise have full-time jobs as
well as student interns who have time during the day. Please call (212)

ITEM 6 - FILM FESTIVAL DEADLINE FEBRUARY 15, 1998

The GEN ART Film Festival 1998's deadline for film submission is February
15, 1998. To receive an application, please call (212) 290-0312. We accept
shorts, features and documentaries. The festival runs from April 29 - May
5, 1998 and will showcase seven features and shorts, each followed by a
post-screening event.
