This image is based on paintings by Van Gogh of his favorite postman: Joseph Roulin. He made many portraits of this gentleman. The beard and clothes remain but the face has been changed to protect the innocent. This image was used to create a series of 100 artistamps for a postal mailart call sponsored by the embassy of Arky of Toast. Why don't you send some stamps in for the call?
