Merlin
said to young King Arthur, "The best thing
for being sad is to learn something new." (E.
B. White)
Ed
had always encouraged me to learn new things, to stretch
my mind. And when I got my first computer from
Mark, a Commodore 64, I really had to study to learn how
to make it work. Later I bought a new Compaq, and with
Fauve Matisse art program, learned to use this medium for
my art,
using my mouse as a brush.
It
was arduous at first, but so exciting that I could hardly
wait to start in the morning, and would kiss it goodnight
at midnight. In the mirror is Ed's spirit, encouraging
me still.
In
the years of my widowhood, Ed has become more and more
a part of my very self, a companion and a champion, urging
me ever onward. How grateful I am for his preparation
for care in my old age!
