Conversations with Mot and Luv

Mot and Luv was performed on May 8th, 1995 at San Jose State University Hal Todd Studio Theatre. I began writing the script for this solo performance in the fall of 1994. Part of the writing was taken from actual interviews with Thomas William Kinzey with his permission. I met Thomas on campus at San Jose State. He turned out to be a truly fascinating individual. He shared with me some of his truth and the stark reality of living on the streets.

Thus I developed the piece, "Conversations with Mot and Luv". As with most other solo performances, it is a storytelling. The audience is taken on an exciting journey. The main character, Mot, raps, drums, dances, recites poetry and interacts with specific video images to help the audience understand his thoughts, experiences, feelings, joys and problems.
