The robot is holding the bubble and the dandylion in his hands, and waving
them up and down, painting clouds of bubbles and dandylion seeds, like an
angel in the snow!
This Actualized Fantasy Screen Waster (not to be confused with a
Virtual Reality Screen Saver, or Microsoft Bob for that matter) is an interactive
dynamic simulation written in ScriptX, a cross
platform object oriented multimedia programming language. The graphics were
scanned in, edited and processed in Photoshop and Debabelizer. The scene
and animations were assembled and given names and registration points in
Director, and imported into ScriptX, the language in which their behavior
is defined.
This is a work in progress, developed both as a demonstration of ScriptX
technology, and as an exploration and celebration of emerging art forms.
Everything you need to play this on a Mac or Windows platform, including
the demo source code, media, documentation, cross platform title containers,
and the Kaleida Media Player for Mac and Windows, will soon be available
free for personal use, from Kaleida
Labs. Also check out the DreamScape
Demo given at the Apple World Wide Developer Conference.
