My favorite commissions are album covers for bands and musicians. I work with art directors and directly with musicians to come up with a concept, hone in on how we want it to look, and what feeling we want it to give the listeners. Then I paint it, and we refine it until it is exactly right.

Album cover work is priced like illustration work -- the commission fees for the painting, plus usage rights charges that depend on the reach of the album. Local and indie musicians get lower prices, while a major label distribution will be more. Single covers cost less, and full album covers are more.

I also offer band portraits and headshot paintings that you can use for profile images, band pictures, or on the band website.

You can group together a number of paintings -- perhaps to try out different concepts -- as well as some band portraits, headshot paintings, or other images for an album package or release campaign. you can also put together your own custom order from the a la carte section.

My album cover illustrations and band portrait will usually be oil paintings. I currently don't do digital paintings. I'm open to doing pencil and charcoal drawings.
