Dusty Tea Party
Art sale and Haunted Garden Fundraiser

What?

Tea Party and Art Sale!

That means tea and art, and good company, and I'll have a small version of Haunted Garden's dome up somewhere in the space. I may even run Heavens Speak for a while.

Why "Dusty?"

Our space isn't done yet. We're creating a new artist live/work space in an old basement dotcom. We've had to tear out walls, build a kitchen and bathrooms, and all kinds of messy work.

We're planning a big blowout housewarming party when we get the construction done, but until then, it's pretty dusty.

OK, the space isn't really that bad (it's a picture from before we cleared the main space). And it'll be a lot cleaner by the time you get here, but we'l save some dust for ya!

Tea Yes! It's a tea party. And about time: it's been months.

So we'll have some really yummy pu-erhs, some green teas whose sweetness will knock your socks off, absolutely nothing with jasmine, and a ching cha that tastes like it was grown next to an orchid field. I'll bring out the small-leafed kudingcha (whose name literally translates as "bitter little things") that hints of watermelon and will have some of the Tea of a Hundred Bitters for those brave enough to try. There will be roasted oolongs that the back of your palate will remember the next day, sweet black tea like dessert wine, and maybe -- just maybe -- we'll have some RealBritishTea(tm) with scones & clotted cream. I'll fire up the stove and make sekrit recipe instant tea cookies. If I'm properly motivated, I'll boil up a pot of chai, and if all goes well, you'll get to see me running around like a head with its chicken cut off, trying to make sure everything's steeped at the proper temperature for the right amount of time. Whoa, did I just say all that?

Art Sale! OK, I gotta raise some funds. Partly to help fund my BurningMan project -- I've got a grant for the main parts, and need a little more for gas and stuff -- and partly 'cuz I'm ..um... freelancing, and my unemployment ran out.

So I'm selling some of my paintings at dirt cheap prices.

Here are some previews:
