I've written code to play with real time animated cellular automata,
that applies a bunch of rules to different parts of an image at once.
You can create and delete different rules,
move them around and resize them,
throw them so they bounce around and leave trails,
overlap them to mix their effects together,
zoom into the cells and scroll around,
and draw into the cells in real time
with a few simple painting tools.
Here are some screen snapshots of my favorite rules!
Click on the small image to see the first 640x480 image
of the sequence, then when that beams in, just click on the
image to go to the next one in the sequence, and you'll
come back to this index when you're done. Or you can jump
to any image by clicking on its number.
