While we're on the subject of animation and choreographic tools...

I came across a proposal for body representation using a protocol known as
mpeg4. Apparently, the idea is to specify the body in as few data as possible.
The following URL has brief explanations and calculations of bandwidth.

http://ligwww.epfl.ch/~boulic/mpeg4_snhc_body/body_prop.html

(As I recall, there's another fellow at EPFL with a good Labanotation site.)

Now it seems to me that such a protocol as this might cut down the time
for calculating animations, unless you wanted to render the body in greater
detail. Anyway, you choreographic and animation software buffs can see
what you think.
