When Happyman arrived, the shoemaker was making a new pair of magical shoes. But he seemed different from the other shoemakers Happyman had met. The magical courtly shoemaker was very serious and didn't look like he was having any fun. He made his shoes similar to the other shoemakers and Happyman, but he never smiled, and kept saying how "hard of a struggle" it was to make magical shoes.
