I sometime wonder if I am a digital artist who works in the technical/administrative aspects of computers; or a computer based administrator who does digital art.
When I switched to the new digital concept of art, I decided to learn the basis on which it works (in order to understand it better). I must have succeeded, because over the last 6 years, I have been a Systems Manager in both university and arts-oriented research & development computer graphics labs; all of which have been multi-platform facilities (UNIX, Macintosh and DOS/Windows based).
Recently I moved to the UBC Pulp & Paper Centre's Control Process Lab - part of NSERC's Network of Centres of Excellence.
