There is no Throne of Peace
There is more complexity in
immersion than in dominance,
more fibers in the fabric
of life
than in the links of chains.
Single-minded we shackle ourselves.
Fluidly assuming roles
we take on many-colored capes
and one day after we have
danced in them
we will discover we can also
soar.
In one lifetime we have many
many-specied;
embedded in life we are not
pilloried
but noded
but gateways
and hope is in the wonder
of life
and wonder is in the complexity.
(From the throne we could
see only surfaces
without complexity. Without
risk. Without joy.
There is joy in every question.
Every question.)
