On a tree at the top of the hill I discerned a large gall
which hadn't been there on my trip out. "What are you doing up?
You're supposed to be in bed."
Olive took a step away from the trunk. "I wanted to see you two
were all right."
"Of course we are. You get into that bed Adonie bought you.
You're supposed to use it. Go on now."
Olive darted away.
I waited at the side of the house until I saw Adonie down the hill.
When I figured she'd be in all right, I left her alone.
