I look
at the rock walls differently than I would have before the rider spoke
to me several nights ago. I questioned her about her coming work offering
any aid I could give and trying to get from her a sense of possible problems
so that if there were trouble of some kind I could best aid her whether
or not we could locate her and whether or not she could communicate with
us. It was the same method I employed while we served on the Rachella so
she seemed to accept the familiar queries from me without thinking much
about it.
I learned more that 1 evening about her work than I had in all the time
on the Rachella. I think because this acceptance is different. Usually
riders when performing an acceptance having to do with the lines of demarcation
are requested to cross them or more frequently to determine a crossing
and guide others through. This is what we are familiar with in our service
with the rider. This is what we know and see of her calling but it is apparently
a very little fragment. What we see if we see anything at all of the lines
of demarcation are only remnants left after the rider has sensed, met,
merged, governed, guided, changed, rerouted them, fused, bent, and crossed
them; there are as many methods, choices, and options as there are lines
and acceptances and riders I am led to believe for it is true that each
rider will approach a demarcation field and assess and meet the lines there
according to her own preferences, talents, and experiences.
