A PERFORMANCE/INSTALLATION FOR VIDEO PROJECTION, SOUNDSCAPE AND ONE
PERFORMER
The dancer shares the space with a translucent projection screen in
constant motion through the use of fans. The dance shares the space with
a looped video piece. The sound crosses the space repeateddly re-framing
the ever changing relationship between moving image and dancing body.
Questioning the boundary between movement-based performance and video
installation, Borderlander brings together video artist Adam Kossoff,
choreographer Sophia Lycouris and composer Phil Durrant to map notions
of borderland.
Borderlander has been invited by EURODANS International Choreographic
Competition in Iasi, Romania, October 1999.
Borderlander has been supported by The Jerwood Space, Performance
Studies International and The Nottingham Trent University.
