Dado,

Palindrome Performance Group (which i direct) performs with djs. I
think they represent -- at their best -- one of the last vestiges of
interactivity in popular culture. Their events involve the audience
as much or more than any idea of a performer doing something "in front
of" a public.


Hey Robert, thanks for supporting the DJ culture. It seems to me that
the next logical step in achieving the higher interactivity would be
use of technology. Anyway the DJ can't stay the same as it is at the
moment but you're right. The idea of good DJ-ing lays exactly in
his/hers ability to sense the crowd and to follow their vibe (even
sometimes he seems to be concentrated only on the turntables)

Therefore, welcome to dance-tech, Dado. (The group seems to have a
lot of university people in it, but dont let that scare you off.
There are a lot of grass-roots artists here as well.)

Interactivity is the focus of palindrome's work. We achieve this
using computer-driven electrode and camera systems.


PERFORMANCES THIS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY IN "Tafelhalle" NÜRNBERG.

six members of the audience will be wired up allowing them to control
the 6-channel the music (by L.U.V. Crew) and lighting. (its part of a
group show)
