The references to 'feedback' make me recall a powerful suggestion from
Hubert Godard (of Universite de Paris 8, Departement de Danse). At the Le
Mas de la Danse symposium last summer he stressed that there was a
*feed-forward* at work in our physical engagement with technologies. This
relates to bodily knowledge as well as the transformation of an aesthetic,
and of historical/political attitudes, etc. This formulation allows for the
'feeding' to be spiralling us forward (as seems to be the case with both
Richard and Johannes's projects) rather than circulating within a closed
