Oh, Lile, how beautifully written---echoing feelings we all have had.
Selling is like having your children leave home--pleased that you have
successfully raised them yet sorrow at letting them go. I still grieve
for my "little" children as I do over some of my sold paintings. Yet I
am amazed at the influence those children and art works are making in
their own right. So your paintings are now continuing on a life of their
own, like seeds planted in a fertile soil. Rejoice! (and weep a little).
