My work is grounded in the figurative tradition. I explore what is most familiar: the body and
projecting emotion. I am afflicted with the collection of flotsam and jetsam, both natural and man-made.
I use the materials the I find to create texture, which has become important to me as a means of expressing
the complexity of life.
