tones advance or to
increase illumination.
OK. This isn't one of
the portraits in the article. It's not even a portrait. But none of the
portraits in the article had Naples yellow in them. In this painting, named
"Hecuba's Child," Naples yellow is used to advance the model's
left knee. This emphasizes substantial distance between it and the rear
knee. Also, for this painting, I used terra verte, the green pigment that
I recommend in the article for half tone regions in nudes.
