What Is...

Light & Shadow

Continuing on exhibit in the Main Gallery is 'Light & Shadow', these photographs are an exploration of the human form and a new vehicle of expression for me.

These are a few samples of my work with people. In spite of what some of my friends may think, I do like photographing people. I just feel that I take better pictures of people that I know .   For a very long time most of my work was of nature and many of my friends still think of me as a nature photographer. These are four of my favorite scenes.

For the past several years I've been quite involved in photographing the urban environment. I don't think of an urban landscape as being an more 'unnatural' than the hives created by bees or the mounds created by termites. We are as much part of nature as they whether we live on a savanna or in a high rise.   OK, let's face it, I'm a computer geek. I like the freedom of expression that an artist gets with a computer. The tools available with a computer make flights of fancy boundless and make simple adjustments like dust specks and dodging and burning a snap.
