A few years ago, I was in my studio and had set up my paintings around
me. I wanted to be able to see them all together in order to write
a statement on the work for a show. It was the first time I had seen
them all together. They seemed so strong and alive. I felt
as though I were standing in the middle of a herd of horses, throwing their
heads back and stomping.
