3rd Week of November 2001

This image was created in several steps. First, my son took a QuickTime movie (.Mov) of our dogs with an Olympus digital camera. I used some conversion software to convert the file to .Avi format. I used "Painter" to find that just right frame and saved it as a .Jpeg. Next step was to import it into "PhotoShop" and tweak it. The contrast and saturation were increased to improve color and brightness. I used the Cutout filter with the following settings: No. Levels - 8, Edge Simplicity - 0, Edge Fidelity - 3. I needed to rebuild her eyes which were obscured by the filter. I like the way the background grass and plants look like puzzle pieces. This is a picture of my dog Jazz. She is a good puppy who smiles a lot and is sweet, she's just not very smart and a little overweight.
