The Hide and Seek series is inspired by the poetry of Vicente Huidobro (1893-1948) He was a Surrealist poet from Santiago, Chile who arrived in Paris in 1916. Huidobro worked with Apollinaire, Hans Arp, Juan Gris, Robert Delauney and Jorge Luis Borges amongst others.

The person who posed for the photographs in this series is my poet friend Frank Donnola. It was Frank who first introduced me to Huidobro's poetry almost twenty years ago.
