The previous work I am going to show you is all sculptural. I am doing this because even though my interests as an artist cover the whole range of 2D, 3D and 4D time arts, the thesis project criteria demands a body of work which is focused. So, I have chosen the category of sculpture as a focal point for PUSH/POP.

What becomes apparent when viewing this image is that constructivism is a major influence for me. In the early 80's, I studied with constructivist sculptor David Slivka at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. I was also very influenced by a constructivist portion of the Russian Avant Guard exhibition at the Hirshorn Museum in Washington D.C.
