Body Immersion

This live performance and video lecture within the DIGITAL SUMMER 98
programme of events examine the development of new environments for
performance where the convergence of live presence and digital technologies
is creating innovative aesthetical and social experiences

This presentation of (R)eply, (E)rase, (C)opy at The Green Room in
Manchester develops a solo version of a live collaborative performance
featuring text/performer Jessica Levy(London), choreographer Joao Galante
(Lisbon), film/video artist Nick Tandavanitj(Bristol) and sound composer
Mathew Adkins (Norwich).

The concept for (R)eply, (E)rase, (C)opy was initiated at the group process
workshop, European Choreographic Forum at Dartington International Summer
School (1996). It was developed into a group production through support
from shinkansen and an Arts Council of England Live Art Commission grant in
co-production with Forum Danca, Lisbon, The Green Room, Manchester and Oval
Arts Centre, London.

(R)eply, (E)rase, (C)opy was premiered at Oval Arts Centre, London in
February 98 and is currently touring Britain.

11th August & 20th August - Leena Patel and Athina Vahla in MOSAICS
Jacksons Lane, London
- two movement based works in progress by young London choreographers
making quality work of a multi disciplinary and collaborative nature, the
work addressing issues of cultural diversity and new visions for movement
and dance.
