future moves/ deaf98

The next 'future moves' (dance/ tech event) in Rotterdam will be held during
the first week of the DEAF98 event which is scheduled for 17-29 November
1998. The DEAF website is at: http://www.v2.nl/DEAF/. Future Moves in Sept.
96 (you can find dutch website in DTZ past events) was an ambitious event
which lasted a week with performances, symposium, films and a cyberlab. This
one will be downscaled to just a 'cyberlab'. Details are being worked out,
but it is anticipated that 3-4 teams of artists working on borders of dance/
tech in Holland will be invited. The local aspect has to do with a strong
desire to see the projects continuing here after the 'cyberlab' with the
support of V2's new 'medialab'.
I am peripherally involved -- but I know there isn't any more information at
this moment Diane, but something will be happening. Definitely plan to come
to DEAF.
